The study area was identified by the engineering and planning team based on an evaluation of preliminary electrical system requirements and land use data. The study area includes lands approximately 1 mile beyond North Trico Road on the west, West Hardin Road on the north, existing 138/115kV transmission lines on the east, and West Marana Road/West Trico Marana Road on the south. This broader study area allowed the team to evaluate environmental resources in the vicinity of the proposed 138/115kV transmission lines and substation.
